Tocaya Organica’s Shiny New Flagship Store Debuts at Westfield Century City
The local organic Mexican power chain Tocaya Organica looks ready to open a fifth location in Westfield Century City this Friday. Just last week, Eater wrote about Madera Group’s forthcoming location in the revamped Beverly Center. But these openings are minimal in comparison to the company’s overall plans for this year, which include 16 additional locations by the end of 2018.
Tocaya Organica first splashed into Venice in 2016, with their version of local, healthy, and organic Mexican. Vegans and meat eaters can choose from their bowls, salads, burritos, wraps, and tacos, including a vegan version of street corn. Since then, locations have opened in West Hollywood, Santa Monica, and Playa Vista.
The eye-catching 4,000 square foot store shoots for a step above the standard fast casual with marble tables and mosaic tiles, and a lounge area. According to owners Tosh Berman and Amrou Manaseer, the Westfield location’s design is the template for future stores. Three Tocaya’s will open imminently: The Point in El Segundo, Westwood, and Hollywood.
